BREADTALK'S SPRING IN THE CITY

Our super favorite thing from BreadTalk is something called Spring in the City. Medyo mahal for P59 since it's really small, but siksik naman siya and super sulit coz hindi tipid sa ingredients, lalo na sa pork floss. Meron ding ham bits and spring onion (well, in-assume lang namin na spring onion based on its name) and this yellow thing na di namin ma-determine kung cheese ba or egg or a combination of the two. Basta super sarap niya. Bow.

KUTSINTA WITH NIYOG, BIBINGKANG MALAGKIT, BIBINGKANG CASSAVA

Clockwise from bottom: kutsinta with niyog (P12), bibingkang malagkit(P18), and bibingkang cassava (P18) from a native delicacies stall in Robinsons Magnolia. Feeling namin sa bawat pagkagat ay may kalabaw sa kanan at may hot magsasaka sa kaliwa. BTW, the winner is bibingkang malagkit. Eto yung binebenta minsan sa sari-sari store dati, diba? Oh, the good old days.

KUPPA'S BANANA CARAMEL PIE

The banana caramel pie (P120) from Kuppa was a disappointment. The crust was dry and crumbly. The banana slices were a little too mushy. The caramel was... well, there wasn't a lot of caramel. Buti na lang kakaiba yung whipped cream. Medyo coffee-flavored. Pero banoffee pie pa din ng Starbucks.

JATUJAK'S CRISPY CATFISH WITH MANGO SALAD

Sobrang sarap ng crispy catfish with mango salad ng Jatujak. As in. Mapapaungol ka sa sarap at kebs lang kahit madami pang tao. Ganun kasarap. P230 so medyo mahal pero worth every centavo.
